Mates - Problem using Tangent Mate

I'm drawing V12 Engine & I am in assembly & I am trying to mate the flat head of the Tappet with the Tear Drop cam on
the Crankshaft using the Tangent Mate. It sort of works, but turning the Crankshaft it follows the tip of the Tear Drop instead
of being tangental to the face of the Tear Drop. I'd appreciate if someone would help me resolve this problem.
