Can you import a 3D CAD drawing into OnShape and convert it into an OnShape document identifying or the parts or assmebly, allowing it to be modified?

Maybe this video will help:
https://www.onshape.com/cad-blog/import-export-onshape
(The only difference between the workflow in this video and the current updated workflow is that the 'import' button is now nested in the 'Create' button on the documents page rather than being a separate button).
or this help page:
https://cad.onshape.com/help/Content/uploadfiles.htm
Onshape supports industry standard 3D CAD imports, and treats this imported geometry the same as any other geometry in the system.
I hope I have answered your question, but I may be confused because you do mention 'Drawings', which are different than 3d models. Let us know if you have more questions.
It may be easier to more completely answer your question if you let us know what system you are coming from and what file type you are trying to import.Jake Rosenfeld - Modeling Team5
