Box joint feature script

How do you use this feature script. I have created two parts (blank drawer sides), when I select both parts the box joint name turns red and stays that way.
I've tried parts that are touching, parts that are not touching, etc., No worky.

The parts need to actually overlap (i.e. the joint feature only removes material).
