Convert imported Sheet Metal

I work with a lot of imported sheet metal parts that I need to convert to sheet metal but I don't understand how or if I can convert them quickly?
The link below is a very simple part but what would be the best way to make it a sheet metal part?

Can you share  the model and allow it to be copied? It is in view only mode.

Currently, there is no nice and easy way to convert them with a press of a single button. We are working on that workflow.

For now, I typically use Modify fillet and delete the existing bends of the imported sheet metal part, then use the imported part as a tool for a Sheet Metal Model - Thicken, then add my bends in the feature. This way you can retain all of the holes you had before in your imported part.

Like I said, there is no question this is an important feature and we are working to crank out sheet metal features as fast as we can.

Share the document with copy permission and I'll show the workflow that I was talking about to convert your existing parts.

    Good luck!

You could use Modify fillet Remove Fillet option to remove bends . Then use Start sheet metal Thicken option, select either outer or inner faces and flip thickness.
Fore a better way please vote for this improvement request https://forum.onshape.com/discussion/5749/convert-imported-sheet-metal-parts
