Error with "Variables" in sketch

Hi there,

i cant seem to get my variable to work in this sketch. can anyone help?

*i have just saved the file with a numeric value

note i have no problems with using variables in the top plane - see the last sketch at the bottom.

any ideas why i cant use the variable here as indicate?

Not yet, but it's a highly requested feature so I'm confident OnS will address this soon.

variable defenition should be done before the feature you want to use variable in, it is just like with any another feature

oh i see, so there is no global variable manager like Solidworks?

yes, thought if you define all the variable on the top of the feature tree they all will be avaliable in any feature after that
