you can duplicate part studios but not assemblies, is there a reason?

Say, i want to use onshape to design an exhibition and have different pieces of furniture and i want to play around with their layout.
versions are not really an option because new pieces are then not accessible to older versions.
Until there is something like configurations, for "play around with a layout" cases, simply duplicating an assembly would be the most easiest.
Thank you for a quick answer or a tip on how to approach this!

First, you can create a branch of your current workspace which you can then use to explore additional layouts without affecting your base design, or you can use the workflow in the gif below to duplicate the assembly by copy/pasting all of the parts from the list, then adding them to a new subassembly.

subassemblies! that will work.
branching: so - if i ad parts to a version, all branches in that version can access them?
