I am not able to use the circular pattern tool.

I am trying to put rectangles at a radius around a circular drawing. The circular pattern tool is not responding. Please help.

If you share a copy of your file I'm sure someone will be able to help you.  Personally, I've never had a problem with either the sketch pattern or normal pattern tool.   The documentation below might help.

It may be easier to help if you post the URL of your document here.  My first reaction is to guess that you are trying to pattern a sketch entity.  The "Circular pattern" feature is used for solids.  If you edit the sketch you are trying to pattern (to get back into sketch mode), you can use the sketch version of "Circular pattern" instead.

The above is the URL of the document that I am working on. How do I get 8 rectangles evenly spaced around this. The rectangles may have to be smaller which is fine too.

Hi.

No problem.  As Jake mentioned you were trying to pattern sketch entities with the part pattern tool.

In this doc you'll see I've suppressed everything other than sketch1 and have then used the pattern tool within the sketch.
