I don't understand folders
I clicked on folders and made about 4 of them and gave them different names hoping to modify an existing part differently in each of the folders. The file updated in the folders with different names. Folders are not supposed to work that way I think.
So how do I created different folders in one document that works independently how folders are supposed to work?

@mario_darceuil updating a folder name shouldn't be updating any of the data contained within them. Are you creating your folders on the documents page or within a document? Could you provide a screenshot or a link to the document you're seeing this issue in so we can further investigate?
You can create folders inside a document to organize your tabs: https://cad.onshape.com/help/Content/elementtabs.htm
Or you can create folders outside a document to organize your documents: https://cad.onshape.com/help/index.htm#documentspage.htm?Highlight=foldersAbe Feldman

Or perhaps you're thinking about workspaces/brancing to explore design alternatives: https://cad.onshape.com/help/index.htm#versionmanager.htmIlya Baran \ VP, Architecture and FeatureScript \ Onshape Inc0
