Wildcards for Insert Parts and Assemblies dialog

When inserting parts and assemblies from other documents, is there a particular search syntax such as wildcards?

I don't think there is wildcard when inserting from other documents. If you're unable to find the part or assembly you're looking for in this dialog, I would recommend as a workaround to duplicate your browser tab, go to Onshape main page, find the file you want using the multiples filters available from the search bar, open it, then this file will be available in your "recently opened" files on your previous tab.
