Why does not whole part move when changing sketch plane offset.

I have a tab with three parts here I need to change the offset of the "Axle box plane". When I merely change the direction and click the tick. One sketch is "left behind " creating two new parts.
I am guessing that I have a problem with the merge but do not understand what has happened.
Can anyone explain it to me in novice terms please.

Sketch 5 wasn't fully constrained. You need to add a symmetry constraint between the vertical construction line and the left/right edges of the gear box.

Thanks Mahir, that worked as you said. It leaves some what bemused as to how I would of ever found that. On reflection though I normally would of used Mi

It was actually pretty easy to spot. Just look for the blue lines. Blue means unconstrained. Black means constrained.
