Why do my guides on one plane work and guides on another plane not work?

The guides on Sketch 3 work but the guides on Sketch 4 do not.
What am I missing?

Great question! One of the current limitations of our sketching system is the tolerance on the "Use" command. If you use "Pierce" to directly interface with the edge of the profile boundary in "Sketch 4" rather than "Use" it will work as expected:
