Diagonal dimenions in the drawings

When trying to get a diagonal dimension from corner to corner in drawings, it keeps jumping from vertical to horizontal. So the only solution I have found is to draw a construction line from corner to corner. Then dimension the line.

If, when you create the dimension, you move your mouse away from the points, it will go to a diagonal dimension.
