Rules for using wiring FS

Hi, I have been using this FS to generate wiring and cables

however find it to be very temperamental. Depending on the radii I choose for the wire the 3D feature often does not generate properly. I am trying to figure out the guidelines of how to construct the 3D sketch so that the wire will generate properly. Can anyone advise?

If the bends in the wire are sharper than the radius of the wire, then it won't be able to create the wire.  If you're having problems near the start or end of the wire, you can try adjusting the 'Starting straightness' or 'Ending straightness' or the wire.

In general, a smaller radius wire is more likely to succeed.

It is a bit tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy.

Thank you Jon and Tony for the good advises. I extended the beginning and end of tube and it seems to have solved the issue. Are you familiar with any cabling/wiring solution to be executed in assembly tab? From the design stand point it would make more sense to add the cables to the assembly rather than the parts.

@nir_gurarye I recommend using In-Context tools (as described here: https://learn.onshape.com/courses/managed-in-context-design) in combination with the wiring feature.
