Cut through Multiple parts Like Inventor

Can I stack rings each ring is a different part. Then make a cut to create a outside Profile like a Vase. This is very east in Inventor and all the parts keep their visual colors or materials. I have tried many ways but nothing seems to work..

Good news! This kind of stuff is exactly what our multi-part Part Studios are great at! Here is an example document:

The trick here is that you can created the stacked parts as separate parts by making sure "New" is selected when you create them. When you are trying to make the cut, make sure to select "Remove" and make sure that you select all the bodies that you want to cut into the "Merge scope" at the bottom of the feature (or you can skip this step like I did by selecting "Merge with all", which is a shortcut for selecting all the parts in the Studio into the merge scope).Jake Rosenfeld - Modeling Team6
