Boolean Union regeneration

I love the boolean union tool. Fast and easy. However, it seems like it doesn't regenerate when parts are changed. Is there a way to force this to happen or set it to be automatic?

    hi, could you provide a link to the example document? it all should regenerate automatically untill parts share their faces or volumes
