Why can't I extrude through a concave cone?

So I am at a point I have no clue what to search. I have a sort of a cone shape, where I sketched a bowl to represent the concave face of the cone. I need to extrude a hole through the center all the way through, but for some reason due to the face being concave like abowl, it doesn't remove the part through the concave circle.

Your cone is not a solid, so you rather want to project that circle onto it and then split the face, but don't expect the hole to have walls. I'll be just a circle punched out of the surface:
You could close the lower face of the cone first, making ita solid, and then extrude-remove your circle, though.

I tried a different approach by thickening the created surfaces before the extrude 1 feature. - Scotty
