How to merge multiple splines and lines

Hi guys!
I've traced a image with spline and line tools. They all close together and I can easily extrude as need. My problem is that i would like to create a border / off-set into the current model. To do this I must merge/join all the lines into one single shape - how can i do this when I've used both lines and splines? Or is there another way to get this shape i want?

In sketch mode, use the Offset tool. - Scotty
