How to limit rib length

Is there any way to limit Rib length

    It’s probably easier to just use an extrusion instead of a rib in that case.

    In that particular case it may give an answer but in case of cylindrical part it will be a problem.

    More then that - as a teacher I'm teaching my students to use the right feature in the right place and here we have a problem.

    You can fix this by changing the sequence, however you my want to report this as a bug to avoid having to go back and fix problems.

    You could also add a split face and delete face after the fact…
    Not ideal but dealing with unexpected results/limitations should also be part of teaching (and that's a good workflow to know anyway)!

    I just move the rib before the cone
