This update introduces a significant new cloud-to-cloud integration between Onshape PCB Studio and Altium 365, along with enhancements across CAD, MBD, and Data Management. It also includes a comprehensive new course to help you get started with CAM Studio, along with additional updates to the Learning Center. Let us proceed without delay.
PCB STUDIO
ALTIUM 365 INTEGRATION WITH ONSHAPE PCB STUDIO
Onshape PCB Studio connects directly to Altium 365 via cloud-to-cloud integration, eliminating the need for locally managed files. Electrical and mechanical teams exchange board data, components, and design changes in real time using Altium credentials, and reusable MCAD libraries populate automatically from shared components. CAD
MOVE MULTIPLE ROUTING CURVE CONTROL POINTS SIMULTANEOUSLY
Editing routing curves is now faster and more efficient, with the ability to select and move multiple control points at once using a precisely positioned triad. This enables cleaner, more consistent edits with fewer steps and greater control—especially for complex routing geometry.
HIGHLIGHT PART WHEN EDITING IN-CONTEXT
When selecting a part in an assembly and choosing Edit In-Context or Switch to Part Studio, Onshape will now open that Part Studio with the chosen component selected and highlighted in the graphics area and Parts list of the Part Studio. This will save time by eliminating the need to find the component you wish to work on.
REDUCE MOUSE MOVE HOVER HIGHLIGHT
In Onshape’s continued effort to increase performance for complex models; now as you move over geometry rapidly, Onshape will delay highlighting that geometry. This will both make it less distracting and more performant as every entity hovered over no longer needs to appear on screen.
MODEL-BASED DEFINITION SUPPORT FOR CENTERLINE DIMENSIONS IN SKETCHES
Model-based definition supports centerline dimensions in sketches and provides full support for all sketched hole and shaft tolerance types.
DATA MANAGEMENT
SUBFOLDER SHARING
Administrators can now share subfolders to users and teams with settings independent of their parent folder. This opens up new collaborative and organizational opportunities for companies, their designers, and even external participants of the design process.
When shared into a subfolder in this way, end users who do not have access to the parent folder can access these shared folders via the “Shared with me” button in the left-hand navigation of the Documents page.
ADD TO RELEASE FROM OTHER DOCUMENTS IN A VERSION
It is now possible to add additional elements from other documents to a Release candidate, even when the Release candidate was initiated from an existing version. You can select from which version of these other documents the revision will be created in. Once approved, a revision is applied to all elements in their selected versions.
DRAWINGS
HIGHLIGHT HOLE CALLOUTS ACROSS DRAWING VIEWS
You can now hover over hole callouts that utilize quantity on drawings to highlight all of the holes that the annotation references in Onshape.

LIVE NAVIGATION
Render Studio continuously updates the rendered view as the camera moves, improving interactive performance and providing immediate visual feedback as you frame a shot or adjust the composition.

We are excited to announce that the Introduction to Cam Studio course has been updated! The refreshed introduction provides clearer guidance, streamlined navigation tips, and an overview of new features to help learners get started quickly and confidently.

I really was not expecting the Altium integration to be so soon or so powerful. Really looking forward to trying this out with my new team.
Also very excited to see all the other updates including the routing curve editing.

Solid updates! Especially excited about moving multiple routing curve control points and reduce mouse move hover highlight.
Subfolder sharing and multi-document releases has come up a lot lately, glad to see those update. Should make a lot of people happy.
