Transfering from a student to personal account

omar_omariomar_omari Member Posts: 4

I have been using Onshape for nearly 3 years now. It is perhaps the best 3D functional CAD software I have tried, which is why I have persisted working with it. I have learned 3D CAD here, and started my 3D design and printing business using Onshape.

Currently, I am on a student plan, which will expire soon as I graduate high school and the e-mail used for it gets erased.

I would like move to a personal account, or another student account as I transition to university, but I have many files on record for clients and personal projects, and I am unsure if I can take them with me, if there is an easy way to do this or if I have to manually duplicate my files.

Is this possible to do?

If you are going to lose your high school email, I would add a secondary personal email to your Onshape account. That way, if your high school email goes away, you can still access your documents. Then, when you transition to university, add your university email to keep your Student plan.

If you are using Onshape for profit, you need to create a paid Standard or Professional account and transfer documents to that account.
