Onshape Stuck on "Loading studio Data"

Hello from Melbourne (AUS) to all Onshape users!

I haven't used Onshape for a few months and now that I need to model a new part, all I get is "Loading studio Data", a spinning wheel and nothing happens.

The same happens if I try to open any of the parts previously designed.

I am using Firefox on an Imac 27" 2011 model macOS High Sierra 10.13.6.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

    I've just had this and it is with Support at the moment. Onshape dropped out mid feature and when I went to reload I got the same issue.

    I got around it by branching from the document page from a previous point which seemed to work. Oddly when trying to 'Restore to Main' the issue reoccured which makes e think there must be a glitch embedded in the Main branch

    I submitted a ticket and Justin from Onshape support suggested to update Firefox. Unfortunately, my iMac 2011 is too old and I cannot update Firefox to a newer version. Same issue with Safari. Quote from Justin: "older versions of the browsers may not support running Onshape".

    However, I can access my parts using my 13" Macbook which is more recent (2015).

    If it is indeed a "too old" browser issue, try this browser. It is the last official version of Firefox for older intel Macs, called Extended Service Release (ESR). If that doen't work, there may still be another community forked browser that may work. And if that doesn't work, there are workarounds to install later version of MacOS on your machine which will then allow a modern browser.

    Firefox ESR doesn't work, what other browsers do you recommend? I've tried Orion.

    If that didn't work, then you might be best off updating the MacOS to a later one using Open Core Legacy Patcher, or DOSDude Patcher. There are FB groups dedicated to them. They allow you to install a modern MacOS version on an older unsupported machine, which then allows you to use the latest browsers that work with OS and the rest of the modern internet. I had done that in 2021 when I had a 2012 MacPro that was unsupported. It was a pain in the butt at the time, but I think it's made easier now. I have not tried it since then as I sold that computer.

    The other option is to install Linux on your unsupported Mac. That will allow all the latest browsers. I've personally never done that, but others have and have reported good performance on older Mac hardware.

    Finally, you can probably get a used M1 Mini for 200 USD these days off of ebay. If that's in the budget, it's a great computer and will run everything well.

    I have the same problem on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with the newest official release of Firefox (version 152).

    When I try Chromium, it works. This seems to be more of a Firefox issue than an on-shape problem.

    i have the same issue on macOs 10.12 with Firefox since yesterday.
    I found a solution with Momiji browser, it's a fork of Firefox 140 for macOS 10.7-10.14 users.

    Currently experiencing this issue on Mac with Safari Version 17.2.1

    I had the same issue. "Loading Studio Data" and an endless timer. Suspected cause due to my computer crashing in the middle of a process. I thought i had lost my entire document. I logged on to my account from another computer and I was able to get into my document without problem or data loss.

    Returning to the computer that suffered the crash I could log into my account, work on other documents that were unaffected but still had the "Loading Studio Data" timer going on the document on which I had been working.

    What worked for me? I deleted all my browser cookies related to onshape on the problem computer. Everything back to normal.

    I understand that my issue was not related to those mentioned above. But, it may be an easy fix for issues similar to mine.
