How on earth do you grab and move drawing geometry

I simply want to grab and move drawing geometry (related lines and circles, etc.) within a sketch.  Simple stuff, but I cannot figure out at all how to do this.

    You can do this in 2 ways:

    1) Select the vertices (dots) NOT lines of your sketch, once all are selected, drag one of them, it should move the rest. Or;

    2) More from an "engineering" perspective; drag to select your sketch, right-click and then select "Transform" you should see the arrows to move X, or Y, Scale or Rotate altogether.

    @michael_fuller, Currently this facility is not available in Onshape. You can raise improvement request for this. In near future we hope that this facility will be provided by Onshape. Till time you have to give dimension manually by dimension tool.

    It's 2024 and on the drawing, there is still no possiblity to move a selection of lines to a new position?

    When you say "Drawing" do you mean "Sketch" or "Drawing"? Do the suggestions above not do what you want? These answers are for Sketch.

    In Sketcher, you can use the Transform tool. In the Drawing tool, there isn't a way to do move multiple items at the same time, unless the sketch items are sketched on top of a part view, in which case they will move with the view.

    Typically there shouldn't be much of a reason to manually sketch a lot of stuff in a drawing. If you really need a complex sketch in a drawing, create in a part studio and insert it into the drawing.

    In a drawing. I have a title block (custom template) that I need to move slightly. So a large group of text objects and lines that need to move about 3mm to align with the drawing border. Seems like a trivial task, but nope. Apparently impossible?

    Same here, and the "good" answers, to remove constraints or transform .. are not at all simple to use.

    Folks, this is ridicilous, this software claims to be easy to use, and the most basic, straitforwarward idea (back from Xerox labs) to move the mouse cursor, click and drag an edge or part - does not work.

    Right click a line - no "transform" function is mentioned.
    After finding the transform icon, and activating it - no selection of my line is possible.
    Then, "Show constraints" is marked - but where ary they?

    What happended in the heads of the developers to sell us this .. convulted mess?

    Very hacky workaround: if the thing you want to move overlaps where you want it to be, first copy-paste it somewhere else and delete the original. Then select it, hold down Alt, and drag it. This creates a clone that you can drop where you want. Ctrl-Z and keep trying until you get it exactly where you want.
