The circular pattern does not work

I am in sketch mode and there is a circular pattern tool there. I am trying to distribute rectangles around a Circular shape. Please help.

Also, I want 8 evenly spaced rectangles around this circular shape, even if the the rectangles have to be smaller or/ and the circle larger.0

@mario_darceuil - this is very easy. I think you are looking for sketch pattern. There is a video in this document that shows you how to do it.
