Adding new materials

How do we add new materials? One of the parts in my new design is a light polarizing film. Apparently, it's usually a thin sheet of polyvinyl alcohol plastic (PVA/PVOH), but it's not available in the drop-down menu.

I see here a unit translation challenge

1.19 g/cm³ (g->0.001 kg, cm->0.01 m) = 1.19 * 0.001 kg /(0.01 m)³ = 1.19 * 0.001 / (0.01)³ kg/m³ = 1190 kg/m³

Hi @tj_thorniley. Adding custom materials is a highly requested feature. Please add your vote for that feature in the improvement requests here on the forum.
We don't provide time tables for when features will be released, but we absolutely use the votes from customers to prioritize the work.

Quick question about adding custom density:
According to Wikipedia, the density of polyvinyl alcohol plastic is ~1.19 g/cm³.
Does that make it 1190 kg/m³?
Or .0119 kg/m³?0 -
