Spiral around a pyramid

Hello,

I was wondering if there's a way to create a spiral ramp around a pyramid. Something similar to the picture I've linked. I've also attached an image of what I'm working with. The pyramid I want to use has rounded edges. How would I go about adding spiral step tiers like the picture?
