Is there a way to move a document to a folder using the API?

We are working on some integration of the system and have set-up template documents that we will use to create new project documents when a project is awarded to us. What we would like to do is to be able to place the document into a folder using the API after we have created the project folder and assigned the correct team permissions. Is there a way to move a document to a folder in the API?
