extrude - only one extrude to parts simultaneously possible?

Hi @ll,
this are my first tries in onshape - i try to remove the upper and lower part of a sheet with the extrude tool. Both extrudes work, but not simultaneously.
Please try to unsupress "cut lower part" in this public document:
if "cut lower part" is unsupressed, the "cut upper part"-extrude does not work anymore.
Anyone knows why?

I made a copy of your document and tried a different approach in Part Studio 2, used only configurations.

Hi Dick,thank you! Nice Features in your copy, but unfornainly it does not match my requirements. I have to cut off the upper part of the second flange, so that nothing is standing over the front sheet.Additionally i have to "add" some material, maybe of the same size on the lower part.Based on your idea of moving faces i tried to rotate the upper face, but here i can not use the left edge as rotating axis.Thanks again!

Aaaaaah, very nice! Thank you!OK, i ll go to sketches on the flanges.The only thing is what i don´t understand is, why my origin-method "fully cut over all by extrusion" works on the lower end, but not on the upper.As you can see here on "cut lower + extrude one"Greets, Freisei

stefan_mühlbacher Sorry - forgot to report back. A slight misalignment in the area of flange angle causes issues. Overbuilding the shape initially and then cutting it to desired hight works better
We are looking into improving robustness of such cuts.
