Really Really basic question

Hi,

How can I set the initial dimensions, or rather the scale I can change from inches to cm etc. 

But I would really like to stop this happening

  Go to your account settings > preferences to change your default units. To change the units of the current doc, look in the 3 line "hamburger" menu top left.
