Importing a zemax step model into onshape.

I have a zemax model in step format. The model includes many lines (14000).
1. Importing is very slow
2. How i insert the lines into an assembly

    seems that onshape supports insertion of solids and surfaces only.

    You can import DXF / DWG files as well. They can be imported as drawings / sketches. 

    If you can export the model as a solid it will work.

    You can insert an instance of a Sketch into assemblies once you have some sketches.
