I have a zemax model in step format. The model includes many lines (14000).
1. Importing is very slow
2. How i insert the lines into an assembly

seems that onshape supports insertion of solids and surfaces only.

You can import DXF / DWG files as well. They can be imported as drawings / sketches.

If you can export the model as a solid it will work.

You can insert an instance of a Sketch into assemblies once you have some sketches.
