Ortho lines custom feature

I've made these 2, 90 degree lines and when I tap the ortho lines custom feature it says no entities selected.  I've tried selecting both lines and selecting the plane and I still get this error. How do I select the entities?

    Ortho Lines does not use existing lines - the input dialog is asking for a starting point. Can you get access to a computer? It would make your life much easier.
