how can I change the default offset value in sketch?

My offset always defaults to 5(mm) which is often too large for the features I am working with and will cause a failure before I can choose an appropriate value.

    If you click the icon first then drag the geometry you can drag to values less than 5mm.

    And you can select a number of lines to offset using one numeric input
