Importing an OBJ file to an assembly

Hello, I am having trouble importing an OBJ file, the file will import as its own tab however I see no way to get it into the assembly. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Can’t use meshes in assemblies. They are for use as a reference when modelling.Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEA1

Yes - right click the tab at the bottom and select import.Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEA0

If you mean that you can see it imported, but it's in its own Part Studio, you can derive it into other Part Studios using the Derived feature:
