For creating points showing how a linkage will move, I believe the custom Tracer feature can help (but I haven't used it yet, so I can't confirm):

Are you strictly interested in analyzing geometry? Or is your intent to include dynamic effects (inertia, dampers, springs, etc.)? Many years ago I used a software package called Working Model to design mountain bike suspension components:

You can either try one of the simulation apps from Onshape appstore or use a family of related featurescripts to extract some motion data and create trajectories. They are Measure value to define driven parameter, Tracer to get dependency of driven parameter from driving one, and Curve generator to make trajectories of points of moving linkages.

Simwise reads Onshape mates and turns them into Joints. But the process to download, install and lic is... rather old school. Suffice to say I have been scouring the earth to find a modern, cloud based mechanism solution for Onshape. If you are interested in accelerating this process.
