How to make different thickness square patterns the same size?

arink_sadtarink_sadt Member Posts: 2
I have two squares with the middle cut out in my sketch, one of them is thicker than the other. I used the linear pattern tool to make a pattern of these two sqaures. It is quite obvious that the two square grids do not share the same length and width even though the original two squares are the same length and width. Is there an easy way to make an array of squares with different thicknesses that share the same overall length and width?
