Figuring out how to make pipes intersect properly.

Hello all,
I am attempting to figure out how to remove the exposed parts of the side pipes inside the main larger tube. (Image below)

I have tried many different solutions, like booleans, and extruding a sketch through the inside of the main tube with the "remove" setting turned on. Not really sure how to get a clean miter between the two. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I would try a split and then delete the unneeded part.1 -

You can just do a "replace face" on the end of the small tubes to make them match the outer face of the main one (assuming you don't want to open up the maint tube into the side ones...).
If you want to make a hole in the main tube as well, then I would do the replace face to the inside of the big tube and do a boolean to split the big tube then delete the part "plugging" the side tube.
