Center point line

One thing I find is quite time consuming is sketching a line such that the center is aligned with some other entity.

Currently, I draw a line, add a point to the center of the line then add a constraint, say vertical or horizontal, to the center point to the other entity.

A tool to do the job I imagine would be called 'center point line' and behave similar to center point rectangle.

Anybody got a better method? Could this be a feature request?

    You're doing it right. Even a center point rectangle is simply a rectangle and a point that has the constraints added for you. 

    It could be a good idea for a feature request, go ahead and create one on the right.

    Yes. I have a line that is 117.85 long. I believe I have to add a point and a constrain with half that number. Then if I make the line longer, I have to edit the “center” constraint. Very awkward to specify and keep a line center.

    A marginally quicker way is to use a construction line (if you are already using the line tool, use "q" to toggle construction, a regular line works too for that matter) that you can create directly from the midpoint of your line to your reference (and set it horizontal or vertical).
