How do I stop extrude "Up to part" regeneration errors?

I'm having an issue with a design I'm making. The extrusion labeled "medium diags", I wish to extrude sketch 8 up to the extrusion labeled "short diags" but it informs me I have a regeneration error and that I should check my inputs, yet this same sketch has worked on several other planes and has no issue extruding blind. Other extrusions on this part studio have had no issue, including ones extruding through one part up to the one selected such as "rear vert" and "bottom for-aft tubes".
Is there a way to rectify this and any good practice I can incorporate in future to prevent it happening again?

You may want to spend some time to become more proficient with sketching. Included is a sample using an array of sketches for the main end frames then join the dots with 3D fit spline.(spline with 2 points and no weighting at the ends is a line)
Next step is the frames function which can be found as coarse in the learning center. Much more robust and a big time saver.
