I fixed this featurescript last summer and made it public.
I held back making it public because it was buggy. Turns out the errors generating the sweeps weren't being caused by opSweep, but instead, opFitSpline was the culprit. Looking at the curvature combs for the generated spline showed some ugly start/end curvatures which caused the sweep to fail often. Adding 2nd order conditions to opFitSpline cleaned up the spline creation and you could see the problems diminished by looking at the curvature combs.
I actually used the Cables feature script the other day when needing to know how long a gas pipe was needed for a stove installation.
New curvature combs for the spline created with opFitSpline look really good:
Cables is a simple tool to be used during the design phase to layout cables & harnesses to get a rough understanding where stuff needs to go in a design. In this case I needed to know the cable length needed to service a stove.
