Section View fail to update with message "The section cut location results in invalid geometry. "

I have been working on a complex boat design in Onshape and have been very impressed with its capabilities.
However one of my section views now refuses to update. I have suppressed parts in the assembly back to one or two items and the "The section cut location results in invalid geometry. " error still persists. There doesn't seem to be any way of finding out where the corrupt geometry is. I have tried moving the section plane and that does not solve the issue either. There are some interfering parts in the assembly but those have never caused an issue before.
Has anybody seen anything similar?

I have the same problem, anyone knows of a possible solution?

Likely to be due to cutting on an edge or vertex which creates non-manifold geometry. Please share the example.Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEA0

Sat @NeilCooke - any update on this issue? I'm experiencing the same thing. The section cuts ok in 3D as near as I can figure but fails in my drawing.
It doesn't look like it's cutting through a vertex or directly through a sharp edge which is where I'm used to seeing this in previous CAD platforms.
