Help Configuring Sticker to be Flat or Wrapped on a Cylinder

I am hoping someone can suggest a creative way that I can configure a sticker part to be either flat or wrapped onto a cylinder. The orientation of the cylinder axis should be configurable to at least horizontal and vertical. I do not want to create a different part for each topology change. This would be easy if I could wrap onto a planar face and just configure the face being used for wrapping. I tried using the Project featurescript, then Split and Thicken, but I can not configure the face to split. Thanks for any suggestions!

Can you just make the sticker as a 2d sketch and use the wrap tool? you could model the flat version from that same sketch too if you need it.

How about something like this?
It's a bit of a cheat as the "flat" isn't actually flat but has a radius of 5000", which may or may not be "close enough" for what you want to do but the "wrap" doesn't work on a flat face, that said you could just use a "split" for the flat case (and configure the suppression of the wrap and split).

A good trick is to create an "initial" solid" so that you can "add" the subsequent configured options to that so the part ID remains the same in the different configurations.

What's your end goal?

The end goal is to have a sticker that can be configured to be either flat or cylindrical in shape. That way, I can can stick it on parts of various shapes in my assemblies. I don't want to have duplicate part numbers or have to change parts for different surfaces, so the part ID needs to stay the same. That is the tricky part, as you can't wrap onto a planar face.

Thanks. I was able to get it to work. Your method of extruding the sticker, rather than wrapping it, was key. I extruded two circular arcs, tangent connected with a line. When I want a flat sticker, I project onto the flat surface between the cylinders. When I want a cylindrical sticker, I configure the length of the line segment between the arcs to be 0.
