Extrude sketch, transform and remove material with it

Hi everyone
I'm new to onshape and I like it, very intuitive. But i tried to rebuild a model from TinkerCAD and i can't remove material in an angel.
Extruded a sketch an transformed it (highlighted part) and when I switch the extrusion from New to Remove, there is no more transformation/rotation.
Tried to google it, but do I have to change the Part to an Object an rotate this?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I think by switching from New to Remove you no longer have the objject you want to tranform. I am guessing that when you switch the selections for the transforms are highlighted in red? if this doesn't help wuld you mind sharing a link?
