Retire Electrical Engineer now robotics hobbyist designing my first robotic spider. In 1972 started my career in the computer field at Data General as a high school senior on co-op from BVVTHS. My first experience with robots started in 1980 at Automatix Inc which was a startup that used vision mated with robotics for inspections, welding, etc.... Retired as an engineer back in 2003 as a consulting ASIC Designer as well as Verification Lead Engineer. From there transitioned into carpentry for 15 years. After a year of retirement it was time to engage the brain. Hence Arachnid based robot dubbed ArachNerd I. Now working on ArachNerd II integrating an attempt at Dead Reckoning.
