@sam_wehrli I second the CNC Overcut feature as Plan A. If you end up wanting to go the derive route use Super Derive (this one can do the boolean too). Do a speed test. You're right to be wary … (View Post)1 -

In this case you're in luck because there's a really easy approach. Just extrude your sketch curves straight from the sketch instead of extruding a surface to convert to sheet metal. (View Post)1
