"Rotate a protrusion" is in relocate it or as in sweep it around, adding more material? For the latter, you could revolve it or sweep it. Or even add another extrusion. (View Post)1 -

Onshape doesn't have "path mates" yet, but one workaround is to make a part with small curves (and then hide it) and use a tangent mate. (View Post)3 -

You could also revolve or sweep a circle as a Remove. (View Post)2 -
Re: Cut part in half
A 1D line is not enough to split a solid in half. You need a plane. Either extrude that line as a surface or create a plane using the line and another plane (Plane -> Line angle). (View Post)1
