boolean does not return a valid part with an imported x_t file (or step file or STL file)
Even though the imported part becomes a solid shape and you can do all sorts of modifications to it like extrude remove as well as add or boolean, in some instances it will not let me create a rotate of a section as an add and it will not let me create a boolean of these parts either. Boolean subtract error
It seems this feature does not always work and I don't understand why. I applied a boolean subtract to one end of a part which worked perfectly. I did try your Extrude Part FS @MBartlett21 but it didn't work in this case: Could it be the vertex at the bottom of the part that makes it fail? (I did try it with a non-pointy bottom end and it still failed). -

yep, that's what I'd expect since it's just filtering for planar faces, and the sides of this one are all planar too. I think you'll have to just click each one you want in that case, but this is also part of my reason for suggesting that the best way is to just pick a body and a direction and let featurescript find the… -
