Re: when a sketch is not fully defined, is there a way to change the highlight from blue
In my opinion, any unconstrained end point or vertice is pretty close to a "serious issue" or on it's way to become one any time. I see no reason not to use a more alerting mark for these. Since sketch vertices can exist on top of each other, it might be worth while thinking of always displaying unconstrained vertices on top of others AND giving an unconstrained one a red halo, do it shines out even if obscured by something else on top of it.
Also, as can be seen in the above screen shots, a blue point on a light blue backgrund (the plane, which typically goes along with a sketch) reduces contrast even more and the combination is certainly a bad choice.

Document Notes 🤩!!! , also feel like we need some Webinars on the power and use-cases for Query Variable
Re: How to split a part at a feature such as dovetails?
Thank you so much! I appreciate your help :)
Re: Notes, The Least Loved Part of Onshape
While I'm ranting about drawings, why are leaders for dimensions formatted differently from bend notes? Why would anyone want the leader to touch the text for bend notes?

Unable to transfer ownership to a paid account after end of trial without making docs public
I've been doing product design work for a few startups that individually have had pro trials. At the end of the trials I managed to convert one startup to paid but the other 2 are not ready yet so I have opted to buy a licence and continue development for them as a service instead.
The problem we are having is that the transfer ownership option for docs is not available after the trial ends.
Support advised to switch the company back to free which would transfers ownership to the company owner and then the docs would be transferable but this is incorrect. Only docs that we make public have the transfer ownership option. We do not want to make the docs public for IP reasons. I have paid for a licence we've just decided to go forward in a different structure.
Support has completely ghosted after the initial reply.
Request #389882
I think this is a really puzzling decision from Onshape. The biggest push back I get moving companies to Onshape or any cloud service is worries about ownership of data. It's great that Onshape keeps docs private after the trial ends but not allowing transfer to a paid account feels like holding customer data hostage and confirms concerns about data ownership at least in this particular scenario.
I appreciate I will eventually be able to get support to transfer these files if I ever get another reply, but it would be great to see the ability to transfer to a paid account allowed generally.
This has cost me 2 days of work so far with a looming deadline. Not a great experience after becoming a customer.

Re: How to split a part at a feature such as dovetails?
Yes. the thickness is your tolerance and the depth is the how far you want to extrude it. oh and no need to use boolean. just switch to remove option in the extrude and it'll save you the boolean step. brain fart there forgot about using it to remove material. Got too focused on splitting.
