Re: Scaling an imported image

This is a known pro tip not sure who gets the credit. but you can't have any other dimensions or contraints in the sketch. create a seperate sketch for each image you want to use.

i accidentally made google snake in onshape :D

I made a Google snake type thing by pattering a line a bunch of times so that when you run your mouse over the lines it shows the linear pattern constraint above it with makes a snake type thing… just thought someone may enjoy it.

Regarding DXF exports.

Since the July 18 update my dxf exports geometry is unusable and scrambled when i open them in a 3rd party nesting software, FASTCAM(for CNC plasma)

Older DXF exports are still functioning fine, and DXF exports from other sources are not problematic.

Is anyone else having similar problems?

I would like to use an analogy:
“There is an event where the host, the Onshape platform itself, and we are both guests and hosts, with everyone bringing homemade cookies and sandwiches. Yes, but the host doesn’t provide a table for all the delicious food. The party is great and a large number of people gather, but people don’t know where the other person got their sandwich or cookie from. Then someone comes along and takes the trouble to count the volunteer makers and prepares a menu.”
So far so good!
But the solution is there, which @S1mon mentioned .
It has a name.
FeatureStore!
We need a table where we can uniformly unload the brought delicacies.

Issue with changing email address

I am a teacher with an education account and I am about to change schools so I want to change my email address. When I go to 'my account'/'emails' it shows my old work email address as the primary - I delete this and enter an alternative email, when I click the blue 'add' button a box pops up asking me to confirm my Onshape password, so I enter this and click 'OK', the box goes away. I then try logging out and logging back in but it won't accept the new email - I still have to enter the old one, once I'm logged in and then go back to 'my account'/'emails' my old email is showing as the primary again! Please help!

You can add State and Part Number as search criteria, filter to just Parts, see image

I kid you not when I say this configuration update will save HOURS of work on our end. We have 2 people who work on configurations full time and needing to update 50+ templates by individually moving a parameter up/down the list with one click at a time was a huge problem. That alone makes this one of the most impactful releases for us.

@Alex_Pitt I am experiencing the same thing. All my defaults are in inches. When I create a .dxf it defaults to meter. I change to inch it to inch but if I close the program it goes back to meter.

Is there a default setting for .dxf export that can be set?
