Re: cad.new down?
Hi @fnxf. TMI: Originally Google hosted the .new domain. They did the registration, DNS service and redirect. We wanted to consolidate this under the registrar that PTC uses, so we moved the registration there and started using AWS Route53 for DNS service. We implemented the redirect in AWS. What we're seeing is that some places can resolve cad.new and some places can't. We've had tickets open with the new registrar, PTC IT, AWS, but nobody has come up with the answer. It's something that I want to get back to, but there are higher priorities.
Re: When can we expect MCAD CoDesigner from Altium to be integrated with Onshape?
Hi all,
Just an update on this: Firstly, thank you all for your patience – we appreciate how important this functionality is to a lot of our users. We’re pleased to announce that the PCB Studio Altium-Onshape link will be available imminently as a Capability for Early Visibility users that have previously expressed an interest in helping us test and improve this functionality.
If you’re a Professional or Enterprise Onshape user with access to Altium and Altium 365 who would also like to be involved in this Early Visibility Program then please get in touch and we’ll add you to our list of EVP users.
If anyone has any further questions about what we're doing with Altium, or PCB Studio in general, then I'll try my best to help answer. Thanks!

Re: Intro to Part Design basic question
the blue minus sign is a warning/information, but definately not an error. check this post for details
Re: Intro to Part Design basic question
@tom_seibold have you seen the learning Onshape website yet? Goes over all the constraints that you can create. For the circle if you click on a point os will assume you want the center locked to that point (coincident. If you see blue just click and drag whatever is blue. If it moves then you know what needs constrained. If you don’t know how to do that, you need to watch the videos on sketching training.

Re: Intro to Part Design basic question
Click that link for a good solid base that is not rushed. You can skip past the parts that you already know and it even gives you a test at the end

Re: Intro to Part Design basic question
Can you spot the difference? one is fully defined the other is not.
Onshape needs a link on the tool tip that says not fully defined that leads to an explaination and training. 😉

Product Catalog (New Custom Feature!) 🆕
Hey fellow Onshapers! (and Onshapists 😎)
This feature is a bit of a special case; it's a template which you can copy and customize per your needs.
The Product Catalog feature can insert products quickly into any part studio you want similar to standard content.
- It will require you to go in and change some of the code to match your own parts and configurations.
- When the video shows a product catalog, this is just an Onshape folder with part studio documents.
- Get started learning how to make your own custom features here: Learn how to FeatureScript!
.

This feature also comes with a YouTube Session to show how we created the entire feature from start to finish.
This is not a video tutorial, but rather a way to show how quickly you can make a real custom feature in just over an hour.
