STEP import missing colors (has the .STEP file import process been changed?)

The same .STEP files that imported correctly with their proper colors back in January 2024 now import without colors (with default OnShape color palette) as of April 2024 using the exact same import settings. Is anyone else also having this issue? Has something been changed in the program since January that affects this process? Other programs such as Freecad display the correct colors of the same .STEP files without issue.

I have put in request for this at some point and you should too - Onshape priorities things according to user requests.

In my world, MBD would replace drawings in a heartbeat. Actually I was hoping to see MBD before drawings, but I knew there are many who need the actual print. Hopefully there are enough users to claim MBD so we could see a stab at it rather sooner than later.

I'm sure we get it at some point and properly done with Onshape style - we can expect something awesome

Any comments on current status @lougallo @PeteYodis ?

@JoshBarnett Today they are standard. For longer bolts and larger hardware we will be adding ways for you to modify them or make a standard copy and them tweak it. Customizing standards is a request in here.

Lou, I use a lot of long bolts and find it frustrating I can get these from the std content. It'd be great to have a way to make my own company's std content for these slightly special locally std parts.
